WLTM Dating have devised some hints and tips to ensure that you keep safe when off line dating a contact for the first time

- Never request to be picked up or dropped off at your property as this will disclose your address – make your own way to the meeting point and ensure that you make your own way home, especially if you live alone.
- Make sure you tell someone exactly who you are going out with, where you are planning to go and what time you are expecting to return. If your plans change at all on the date, then make sure you keep your friend/family member informed.
- Always meet in a crowded and busy public environment and NEVER at someone's personal property. Stay in public places and never feel pressured to leave and go to somewhere more intimate if you do not want to.
- Always take a fully charged mobile phone with you, in case of emergencies or to let your family/friend contact know that you are ok.
- Never leave your personal belongings or drinks unattended.
